Mayor Hozza has proposed seven balanced budgets since taking office and has reduced the expense trend for the Township by millions of dollars:

 

• Oversaw the township's debt move to its lowest level in 20 years, with a goal of no debt in the next 5 years.

• The hiring freeze of 2008 has saved the Township over $2 million to date.

• Switching healthcare providers has returned close to $1 million in favorable claim rebate funds, while keeping our health care rate increases to a minimum.

• Bidding our new refuse contract into three separate categories will save residents an estimated $2 million over the next five years, allowing the Township to purchase new recycling and refuse carts at no additional charge to residents.

• Shopping for electric providers has saved the Township thousands of dollars each year.

• Outsourcing payroll to a third-party has allowed the Township's Finance Department to concentrate more on their everyday duties.
