Mayor Hozza worked his way through and became a graduate of DeSales University with a B.A. in Business Management and a minor in Marketing in 1984. After graduation, Mayor Hozza spent 23 years working in the private sector for Nabisco Foods Group, Innovex, and Alza Pharmaceuticals a division of Johnson & Johnson.

 

Mayor Hozza is 52 years old, he and his wife Denise and best friend of over 26 years are parents of three children, Elyse a graduate of Bloomsburg University (like her mother) is a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative. Edward “Ted” will be graduating from Penn State Main Campus in May and Michael, is a sophomore at Penn State's Berks Campus. The Hozza’s also have a spoiled Cocker Spaniel named Roxy.

 

Mayor Hozza is a member of the Whitehall Communities that Care Board, Whitehall Chamber of Commerce, began the quarterly Intergovernmental meetings between the Whitehall-Coplay School Administration/Board and Coplay Borough Council, the Whitehall Historical Society, Lehigh Valley Planning Commission, serving on the Transportation Sub-Committee, a member of the Pennsylvania State Mayor’s Association and its Executive Board, the Pennsylvania League of Municipalities, the Good Shepherd School Board of Limited Jurisdiction.

 

In 2010, Mayor Hozza was selected as the Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce Mayor of the Year and a friend of the Lehigh River in 2013 by the Wildlands Conservancy for his work on preserving open space in Whitehall Township.
